Seminar Information and Booking
Each day of The France Show will bring together some of the best wine and Champagne France has to offer with expert opinions through our dedicated Wine Seminar theatres. There will be four theatres in total each giving you the opportunity to discuss and taste the wines of your choice. Tickets are no longer available to buy online but will be available to purchase at the show.
Theatre 1 - Vin de Cahors Wine Seminars
Each session will be conducted by Laurent Marre, Wine Consultant who will explain specificities of the terroir, the grape variety (malbec), present the chateaux and vineyards, and taste a selection of wines on each day of the show.
- 11.00am Cahors, the Original Malbec - A selection of wines from the region - £7.50
- 12.00am Cahors, the Original Malbec - A selection of wines from the region - £7.50
- 1.00pm Cahors, the Original Malbec - A selection of wines from the region - £7.50
- 2.00pm Cahors, the Original Malbec - A selection of wines from the region - £7.50
- 3.00pm Cahors, the Original Malbec - A selection of wines from the region - £7.50
- 4.00pm Cahors, the Original Malbec - A selection of wines from the region - £7.50
Theatre 2 - Bordeaux Wines Seminars
Over three days at The France Show Bordeaux Wines will host five daily tastings. The tastings will follow the summary of the themes below. Each tasting is £7.50 will show six wines and the tastings are either:
- A vertical tasting of wines from one region over different vintages
- A horizontal tasting of wines from one region and the same vintage
- An Everyday Bordeaux tasting of wines from six selected regions from Bordeaux
- Sample award winning wines

Theatre 3 - Wine Seminars Presented By Individual Organisations
- 11.15am - ‘Diversity of Champagne’ “Francoise Peretti, the UK Director of the Champagne Information Bureau will be hosting a tasting. The tasting will include a range of Champagne styles such as Non Vintage, Vintage, Rosé, Blanc de Noirs and Blanc de Blancs focusing on all aspects of Champagne from the diversity of styles to matching food with Champagne. - £7.50
- 12.30am - Tom Fox will give a tutored tasting of a selection of ciders from Brittany - £4.00
- 1.30pm - Andrew Bennett will present a selection of wines from 3D Wines with the theme "Taste of Terroir" - £7.50
- 2.45pm - Beaujolais tasting a selection of 4 wines. The tasting will include: Beaujolais rouge 2007, Beaujolais village rose 2007, Beaujolais viallge, Cotes de Brouilly AOC 2003 and Cotes de Brouilly AOC 2004 - £7.50
Theatre 4 - Wine Seminars Presented By Pascal Meril
- 11.15am - ‘Tasting a selection of wines including Caves du Mont Tauch;
Chiroubles Vieilles Vignes 2006 Cru de Beaujolais and Chateau Guilloton - £7.50
- 12.30am - Tasting a selection of wines from Les Vins Skalli - £7.50
- 2.45pm - Armagnac 3 different vintages of Armagnac: 1975, 1979 & 1982 - £7.50
- 4.00pm - A tutored tasting of a selection of wines - £7.50
