Carol Drinkwater – The Flavours of France theatre
Actress Carol Drinkwater is probably best known for her role as Helen Herriot in the BBC series All Creatures Great and Small. Also an accomplished novelist, she has achieved bestselling status with her much-loved memoirs of life on an olive farm in Provence, and is a regular columnist for France Magazine.
She is currently filming a lavish documentary series inspired by her travel books The Olive Route and The Olive Tree, and will be giving visitors an insider’s view of the filming process. Her talk will cover the difficulties facing a small crew working with Mediterranean TV stations that have little government support, the turmoil created by the Arab Spring and fall of Libya on the filming schedules, the delight in seeing her characters brought to life and the real-life characters she met whilst on this adventure!
Make sure you arrive early for Carol’s talks as they are sure to fill up quickly!
